“As a contemporary abstract artist, my creative process unfolds through the dynamic application of layers—gesso, mediums, and paint—in a spirited and unrestrained manner. With each layer, an interplay emerges, giving rise to forms that seem to transcend my initial intentions.
As I paint, my personal stories become entwined within the evolving layers, creating a nuanced and veiled narrative. The deliberate choice to render faces in an abstract manner invites viewers to actively engage, prompting them to unearth their unique interpretations and narratives within the artwork.
In essence, my abstract expressions are a dance between intention and serendipity, fostering an environment where imagination prevails.”
– Pam Hamilton
Pam Hamilton is a visual artist who grew up in Springfield, Illinois, riding her bike and playing kick-the-can when everything was groovy. The coloring book was her first canvas. Somewhere in the middle of college at Southern Illinois University, she put down her crayons and brushes to study graphic design. Graduating with a degree in both Fine Art and Visual Communications, she has enjoyed a successful design career. Now she’s back to brushes and canvas.
